This year marks the 100th anniversary of the introduction of the Chinese Exclusion Act in Canada. This discriminatory law against Chinese people left a stain on Canadian history. It was not repealed until 1947 and became a shame in Canadian history. Today, a hundred years later, in order to remember history and avoid its recurrence, all sectors of Canadian society held a series of activities "Reflecting on 100 Years of Chinese Exclusion Act".

At the large-scale Chinese peaceful rally on Parliament Hill on June 24 this year, our station, as the only Chinese media in Western Canada, The reporting team arrived at the Capitol Hill site and reported live on the large-scale peaceful Chinese rally on Capitol Hill. During nearly a week in Ottawa, we conducted many in-depth interviews with Congress, including Federal Senator Mary Jane, Yuen Pau Woo, Senator Victor Oh, etc., to seek more attention and social support from Congressional dignitaries; in Ottawa and Toronto , in Vancouver, etc., our station conducted in-depth interviews with all walks of life on this topic. Throughout the series of activities, the Chinese community actively participated, supported, and interacted. From reporting on a social hot spot, it promoted Chinese interaction across Canada and interaction and integration among the Chinese community.
