In order to promote Chinese Americans to better participate in politics, participate in local mainstream politics and construction, and gain more say, Vancouver Chinese Radio launched the first Canadian Chinese media interview program specifically for federal, provincial, and municipal election candidates - " Just one vote away from you.” The program is presented in the form of face-to-face interviews through audio, video, tweets, social media and other multiple forms, reaching directly into the Chinese community to help the Chinese community audience comprehensively, intuitively and deeply understand the candidate's background, campaign philosophy, community service experience and other information. This will enhance the awareness of the entire Chinese community to participate in political affairs and encourage Chinese voters to actively participate in elections and vote.

After the program was launched last year, it not only mobilized the Chinese elites in the whole society, but also quickly attracted the attention of mainstream society. Candidates at all levels in the Greater Vancouver area came to our station to "check in" for this program and accepted exclusive interviews. Among them, some who were already known to be successfully re-elected Governance Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Burnaby Mayor Mike Hillman, Provincial Councilor Leno Sturko, etc. also came to our studio for exclusive interviews to express their recognition and support for this program. This program exclusively interviewed nearly 50 Canadian politicians at all levels in the second half of last year alone.

We worked with members of Congress to jointly produce the large-scale documentary "The 100th Anniversary of the Chinese Exclusion Act." Federal Senators Senator Yuen, Pau Woo, Senator Victor Oh and other Canadian political figures served as the film's general counsel. The filming of this documentary will further reveal the importance of this period of history and emphasize its profound impact on the Chinese community, Canadian society as a whole, and the entire overseas Chinese world. At the same time, this documentary will promote the whole society's in-depth reflection on this period of history and enhance understanding and respect for the Chinese community. This is also to promote further integration of the Chinese community and mainstream society through media products.
